The school was started in 1974 by a few philanthropic minded and service oriented residents of Mamallan Nagar in a modest way for the Kindergarten students alone in a rented building. In due course by the constant effort of the directors and the immense support rendered by the parents and public, the school grew to the present status. The school never collected any capitation fees for admission. The school is named after the late M. Loganatha Mudaliar, Principal donor of the school. It has been a private unaided Govt. recognised Matriculation school since June 1984 and has been upgraded as Higher Secondary School from July 1991.
